Target Audience

This short course continues the development of documentation within the enterprise, focusing on enterprise-wide documentation, the control of change to these documents and their subsequent release internally and externally. The course is directed towards documentation department managers responsible for documents and their quality.

Delegates must have completed the Introduction to Technical Communication and the Advanced Technical Communication course before attending this course.

Presentation

This one-day short course is presented in a classroom environment.

A maximum of twenty students are accommodated.

Lecture notes are provided.

Benefits

Latest trends in documentation and the integration of documents into various quality management systems are discussed, giving the delegate insight into his growing organisation.

Completion requirements

  • This course is not aligned to any SAQA standards.
  • There is no final examination and no credits are awarded.
  • There is an assignment which delegates must complete.
  • This assignment is due two weeks after the course is completed.
  • Successful completion of the assignment will ensure that the delegate receives a Certificate of Merit indicating that they have successfully passed the assessment.
  • Delegates not submitting the assignment or not completing the assignment successfully will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
  • This certificate will not indicate whether the delegate has passed or failed.
